A Healing Retreat
-
Incorporating EMDR & Somatic Psychotherapy to facilitate deep trauma release and transformation
-
Equivalent to 2 to 6 months of weekly therapy depending on half-day to multiple day options
-
As a EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and Somatic Practitioner, I know the importance of a brain and body apporach to healing from trauma. By providing EMDR along with advanced psychotherapy methods (e.g. complex developmental trauma, polyvagal theory, attachment theory, ego states, art therapy, and somatic experiencing), we will work through the pain of your past in order for you to show up fully in your present. This includes discovering the origins of your limiting beliefs in order to change the narrative about who you are and ultimately how you then show up in the world.

Benefits of EMDR Intensives
-
Cost-Effective: Intensives are highly focused and often require less time and overall cost. Months of weekly therapy are packed into hours and days.
-
There is no need to talk extensively about disturbing experiences: EMDR allows healing without talking in detail about traumatic experiences.
-
Feel better faster: Intensives are highly concentrated and focused so that you can make faster progress and lasting change in the immediate present.
-
No weekly appointments needed: You don’t need to schedule your life around weekly therapy. This is especially helpful for people with busy work and/or school schedules who want and need to feel better now.

You don’t have to live locally: Clients can travel from anywhere and stay locally for a few days to complete treatment.

Holistic and Somatic Practices: My Intensives are unique in that I incorporate holistic practices throughout EMDR reprocessing in order to help with grounding and trauma release. This is especially helpful with dissociation and the nature of complex trauma in how it is stored in the body. I utilize sound bowls, art therapy, Reiki energy work, and trauma-informed yoga/breathwork throughout the session.
